Off-road Driving 101
In this class students will learn the fundamentals of how to drive on-trail/off-road. Starting with a class room session, the basics of AWD and 4wd systems will be gone into in-depth as this is the foundation for understanding one’s vehicle. Students will learn the principles of Mechanical Sympathy and Mechanical Advantage so that they can get the most out of their vehicle on-trail with no issues. We will move from the classroom to a closed course to focus on proper driving techniques, seat position and vehicle spatial awareness. After lunch students will then proceed in convoy fashion for real trail experience to put into affect skills that they have learned. Cost $300/person. Reserve Your Spot

Advanced Recovery Class - July
In this class, we expand on the Recovery Basics Class, by focusing on the Hi-Lift Jack and advanced winching techniques. Students will be taught how to properly and properly use a Hi-Lift jack in its 3 major uses (lifting, casting and manual winching). Advanced winching will dive deep into mechanical advantage (2:1, 3:1, Spanish Burton, and how to winch yourself backwards with a forward mounted winch). Proper spotting, hand signals, safety and rigging will be demonstrated and practiced in a controlled environment. *Students are encouraged to bring their trail vehicles and gear. April DORC-NH Club Recovery Class
Just for the members of DORC-NH (aka Land Rover Club of New Hampshire). This in-depth recovery class will prepare members for the upcoming off-road season. Students will learn about gear selection, gear ratings, how to extract a vehicle from self recovery to the basics of winching. You will be hands on all day working and learning how to use gear correctly and safely in real trail scenarios.

I.D.P.E. process: working as a group to evaluate, plan and extract a vehicle from a stuck situation.
