Guided Excursions: STL Offroad offers three types of guided trail excursions:

  • Full Day trips (NH, VT, ME & MA)

  • Overnight trips in New England

  • Western Destinations (CO, Moab, BBNP TX and more) *coming soon once full permitting is achieved out west.

    If you can dream it, we can get you there safely and securely. All trail rides will be posted on our schedule. Want a custom trip or a private group trip? Inquire directly with us. Trips are rated by vehicle type and trail type designation (stock, off-road capable, green easy , moderate blue, difficult red, etc..).

Off-road Instruction: New to off-roading? Just bought a new to you 4x4 and want to make sure you are familiar and confident with it to hit the trails?

  • “Off-road Fundamentals” Class will prepare you and have you ready to get off the pavement. Needing a refresh or wanting to take your skills to the next level?

  • “Off-road 201” course will have you working on two foot driving, how to handle challenging obstacles and situations, such as major off camber and the like. Classes start at $300.00

Recovery Instruction: You need to always be prepared. Everyone gets stuck. How to get out is the key, safely, efficiently and with as little effort/time as possible.

  • “Recovery Basics” course you will be introduced to all basic tools, recovery strategies and the most important, a Vehicle Stuck Assessment.(VSA).

  • “Recovery 201” class, we will expand on everything from the basics getting deep into mechanical sympathy, mechanical advantage, Hi-Lift Jack, winching and much much more. Call or email for more information. Class start at $300.00

I went in as a complete beginner, and came away with a general knowledge of how to use soft shackles, kenetic/static ropes, and even pulley blocks and winches! Overall, Ned was a welcoming and knowledgeable instructor. I never felt afraid to ask questions or for more clarification. I couldn't recommend this course more. 5 stars!
